Daragh O’Toole has received widespread critical acclaim for his compositions and soundtracks, most recently scoring the Sky Original film Aisha (2022) starring Letitia Wright (Black Panther, Death On The Nile) and Josh O’Connor (The Crown, Emma).
As a composer, arranger, orchestrator, music producer, and songwriter with decades of experience, Daragh has a deep understanding of all styles of music, equally adept at everything from electronic ambient to full orchestra. His compositions and arrangements have been performed by the Irish National Symphony Orchestra, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, The Orchestra of Ireland, St. Patrick’s Cathedral Choir, RTÉ Cor na nÓg, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Philharmonic, Colorado Symphony, and many others.
In addition to his own compositions he has worked with numerous acts in all genres, including U2, whom he worked with on the Golden Globe winning/Oscar nominated The Hands That Built America (theme from The Gangs of New York, dir. Martin Scorcese). Having previously written the string arrangement for their international hit The Sweetest Thing, he also scored the string arrangements for their live performance when they received the Freedom of The City of Dublin, where he joined them onstage as a guest musician.
